Double Pay on Maternity Leave: Is it Allowed?
Question: Hello, mga ka-GABOTAF. May employee po na magmamaternity leave. Well-informed naman ang agency ng due date niya, so may time pa na kumuha ng substitute pero the bosses are requesting for the employee to report to work after a week, KUNG fit to work na sya. The offer is WFH arrangement and ‘double pay’ (maternity pay with regular salary). Ang worry ni employee, dahil may guidelines naman stated in Sec. 3 of R.A. 11210, hindi po ito possible.
According to the HR, nagconsult na sila sa CSC at pwede raw ang ganitong setup. So if ever na mag-agree po si employee, what would be the consequences (CSC and COA)?
