My sister worked as part of the Government Internship Program (GIP) of DOLE since January 2020. Graduate sya ng 4yrs pero hirap na hirap syang maghanap ng trabaho, kaya nag apply sya as GIP receiving the minimum daily wage. Kahit papano nakakatulong sya sa everyday needs namin.
Since the release of DOLE’s COVID19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) yung 5k na binibigay sa lahat ng private employees, nabusy po talaga sila lalong lalo na yung 4th week of March up to April 15, to the extent na dinadala pa sa bahay yung mga forms para matapos lang ang encoding.
In relation to COVID19 Hazard Pay, magke claim na sana sya nang bigla siyang sinabihan ng Accounting dept na di daw qualified ang mga GIP for claims.
Sa akin naman po, gusto kong maka claim yung sister ko considering that everyday, she was exposed to the risk lalo na rumarami ang # of confirmed patients dito samin. Sabi pa nya, kung tutuusin, mga GIPs nga lang daw ang nagtatrabaho re CAMP kasi yung mga regular employees nila panay relax lang. GIPs yung dinidiin sa staff work.
