Inanunsyo ng Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa kanyang ikatlong SONA na may napipintong pagtaas sa sahod (salary increase) ang mga kawani ng gobyerno na ibibigay sa apat na tranches hanggang 2027.

Inanusyo din ng Pangulo ang bagong medical allowance sa lahat ng government employees na sisimulang ibigay sa susunod na taon (2025).

Sa isang balita, sinabi din ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na ibibigay sa mga kawani ng gobyerno ang 1st Trance salary increase retroactively.

Ngunit ang tanong ng marami, kailan ibibigay ang 1st Tranche Salary increase kung retroactive ito: 2024 o 2025?

Gayunpaman, kailangan ng isang batas o kautusan upang maipatupad ang salary increase. Inaasahan na maglalabas ang Pangulo ng isang Executive Order para dito. Nasa mahigit kumulang dalawang (2) milyong kawani ang magbebenepisyo sa salary increase na ito.

UPDATE: EO Authorizing Grant of Salary Increase

Isinasaad said kalalabas lamang na EO ang Funding Sources para sa nasabing salary increase:

For NGAs, the amount needed for the salary adjustment in FY 2024 shall be charged against any available appropriations under RA No. 11975 or the “Fiscal Year 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA)” and any other available appropriations, subject to relevant budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules and regulations. The DBM, following the compensation adjustment strategy embodied in Section 1 hereof, and consistent with its authority under Section 7 of RA No. 6758, shall then be authorized to implement or adjust the compensation corresponding to the appropriations provided in the GAA.
The funding requirement for the salary adjustment in FYs 2025, 2026, and 2027 will be included in the proposed annual National Expenditure Program (NEP) submitted to Congress for authorization.

For GOCCs, the amounts shall be charged against their respective corporate funds in the corporate operating budgets approved by the DBM.

For LGUs, the amounts shall be charged against their respective local government funds in accordance with the pertinent provisions of this EO and RA No. 7160.
