We wonder, and we are certain you agree, why of all professions in the Philippines, CPAs have the highest requirements for CPD units. Next year, we will be required to earn 120 CPD points to renew our license.

Simply, it is the law of supply and demand. The demand is high, the supply is low price is high. And training center are taking advantage of it too. More business means more accountants. We neee to invest on this to order to earn. It takes money to earn money
Uhmm, I think business world is a growing and changing environment , so maybe that’s the reason why they keep on increasing our CPD units to make sure we can adopt and not left behind, remember “professional competence and due care” one of our fundamental principles we should continually strive to improve our knowledge and skills to ensure that our clients receives the advantage of competent professional service on up to date developments in practice, legislation and techniques , though this is still a burden especially for those CPAs who practice in academe, 120 is too much 🙁
