Office Order allowing the OIC to claim RATA is also required in our Agency.

Dapat it should be specific sa designation order that as OIC you are entitled to receive RATA and all other benefits attached to the position,

When an employee is in an OIC designation for a position with RATA, he/she can only claim the RATA at the end of the service period. His/Her duly accomplished DTR shall be the supporting document in claiming the RATA for that particular period, because his/her DTR is a proof of service rendered. The service that has been rendered first before claiming the RATA is what we interpret as “reimbursable” RATA. Because by nature, the RATA is inherent to the position.

As derived from Section 286, Article 1, Chapter 5, Volume 1 of the Government Accounting and Auditing Manual, reimbursable RATA should be duly supported by receipts OR by a certification to the effect that the expenses had been incurred in accordance with the purpose for which the allowance is granted.
