Reminder: Don’t Use the Old Version of BIR Form Nos. 1604C, 1604F and 1604E
It’s almost yearend and it is almost time again to prepare and file yearend tax remittances.
Customarily, what some do is to retrieve their previous years’ files, copy, paste, and edit to make a new file — without really taking time to check if there is a new version of the form. End result? Some commit the common mistake of using old versions of tax forms.

We must admit that when we do not regularly visit the website of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), chances are, we might missed some important issuance/advisories.
For instance, do you know that the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has circularized in July this year the new versions of BIR Form Nos. 1604C, 1604F, and 1604E? In case not, here’s a copy of the Revenue Memorandum Circular:

Based on BIR’s latest advisory, the deadline for the submission of BIR Form Nos. 1604C and 160F is extended up to February 28, 2020 (instead of January 30, 2020) to give sufficient time for tax preparers to prepare the forms and the BIR to update the Alphalist Data Entry Validation Module (Version 6.1).
The deadline for the submission of BIR Form No. 1604E, which is March 1, remains the same unless latet extended by the BIR.
