Good news for all government employees!
The Department of Budget and Management, during a press conference on today (Aug. 1, 2024), revealed that the 1st Tranche of the pay raise for public servants, as declared by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in his SONA, will take effect this year with retroactive pay from January 2024. The DBM announced that an Executive Order will be released to outline the four-stage salary hike.

“Gusto po natin simulan na this year iyong first tranche ng ating salary increase. So, iyon po four tranches hanggang (that’s four tranches until) 2027, and as of now po, we are perfecting the executive order po and we are hoping for the issuance of the executive order soon po.” [1]
The Budget Chief explained that the most awaited salary increase will start this year and will be given until 2027.
