JOB @ BIR | Pwede ba akong ma-hire sa BIR kahit fresh graduate ako, walang work experience?

Hi GABOTAF! I’m a constant follower of your page, and it really helps me a lot during my review. I was quiet anxious now that my CPALE exam is near, the anxiety of applying for my dream job as a government accountant/BIR Employee specifically as a Revenue Officer is haunting me. I’m just curious if you can give me an insight on this long dreaded question. Is it possible to be hired in BIR even if I’m a fresh graduate without work experience? 😥 Thank you for your future response! MORE POWER!

  1. This question is a valid question, not only with regards to BIR, but to all companies, whether private or public.

Makakapasok or makakakuha ba ako ng trabaho after ko maka-graduate?

Dahil dito, gusto namin i-share yung content ng aming article entitled: How to Land a Job after Passing the CPA Board Exam?

    Ito yun:

Getting your CPA license after the board exam is just the beginning. The competition for a CPA job is very tight.

Una, aim to have an impressive Transcript of Records (TOR). Students with high grades tend to get ahead of the competition.

Pangalawa, e paano nga kung you’re just an ordinary guy?

Aim to get a position. Maging officer ka sa org. Hone your leadership skills. Aim to become an officer para masanay ka sa leadership roles. Tip: most companies tend to hire applicants with leadership skills.

Pangatlo, hone your communication skills. Mapa-written or oral communication skills. Mahahalata ito during your interview and exam. And, madali mahalata ang wrong grammar. Kaya guys, please, don’t take your english subjects for granted.

Panghuli, attitude and personality matter. Wag kang mayabang (with your CPA license). Be humble. Be respectful. Be indispensable.

In summary, be good in school while you are still there. Get good grades as smart as you can. Whether we like it or not, sa grades pa din tayo sinusukat. (Although there are some studies na sinasabing hindi ito ang sukatan ng success sa buhay).

Train yourself to lead people. This will pay you alot someday. You can get ahead of the competition if you know how to lead and organize people.

Hone your communication skills. Wag puro problem solving ginagawa mo. Magsulat ka din. Mind your grammar.

Finally, and most importantly, try to revisit your values.
