Are Barangay Officials/Employees entitled to the P5,000.00 PEI?

Affirmative. Barangay Officials are entitled to Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) amounting to P5,000 per qualified official/employee, subject however to the following conditions:

✅ The grant shall be determined by the Sanggunian;

✅ The grant is subject to PS limitation under Section 331(b) of the Local Government Code, R.A. 7160;

If funds are insufficient, the PEI may be granted at lower but uniform rate for all qualified officials/employees of the Barangay;

✅ The employee/official is still in service as of November 30;

✅ The employee/official must have rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four (4) months of at least satisfactory service as of November 30 of the current year, including leaves of absence with pay; and

✅ If the official/employee have rendered less than four (4) months of service but still in service as of November 30 of the current year, he/she is may be entitled to a proprotionate amount of the PEI as follows:

✴️ 3 months to less than 4 month – 50%

✴️ 2 months to less than 3 month – 40%

✴️ 1 month to less than 2 months – 30%

✴️ Less than 1 month – 20%
