Accounting 101 Government Auditing

We are providing you a quick link to the guidelines on the preparation of year-end financial statement and other reports.

At the minimum, each national government agency (NGA), local government unit (LGU), and government-owned and/or controlled corporation (GOCC) must submit the following year-end financial statements to the Commission on Audit (COA) or their respective Central Office, if any, on or before February 14 each year or earlier depending on appropriate directive, viz:

  • Statement of Financial Position (formerly called Balance Sheet)
  • Statement of Financial Performance (formerly called Income Statement)
  • Statement of Cash Flows
  • Statatement of Changes in Net Assets/Equity (formerly called Statement of Changes in Government Equity)
  • Notes to Financial Statement
  • Statement of Comparison of Budget and Actual Amounts
