We wonder, and we are certain you agree, why of all professions in the Philippines, CPAs have the highest requirements for CPD units. Next year, we will be required to earn 120 CPD points to renew our license.
Anong meron sa atin na wala sa iba?

Maybe one of the reason is Pang International and Global ang Professional service natin para pag kukuha tayo nang Clients or mag work tayo nang Multi National Companies magka level tayo sa foreign CPA.

Simple the reasons why we need to comply with the 120 cpd unit is for us Filipino CPA to be qualified to be a member of AICPA that requires to have the said CPD units.

Ok lang din sana if yung seminar eh may matutunan talaga. Cost-benefit kumbaga. Eh kung para lang sa compliance, balewala din yung CPD. Hindi rin tayo magiging at par with other countries.

Simply, it is the law of supply and demand. The demand is high, the supply is low price is high. And training center are taking advantage of it too. More business means more accountants. We neee to invest on this to order to earn. It takes money to earn money
Uhmm, I think business world is a growing and changing environment , so maybe that’s the reason why they keep on increasing our CPD units to make sure we can adopt and not left behind, remember “professional competence and due care” one of our fundamental principles we should continually strive to improve our knowledge and skills to ensure that our clients receives the advantage of competent professional service on up to date developments in practice, legislation and techniques , though this is still a burden especially for those CPAs who practice in academe, 120 is too much 🙁

Di tayo nag-iisa. In fact, 95% of professionals who responded to the survey conducted by the PRC on the CPD want the law to be repealed. Meaning, kahit yung ibang professions hindi sila happy sa CPD law.
Nonetheless, we still believe in the good intentions of the law. However, let us pray that the authorities will hear our voice.

Tapos halos baratin ka na ng mga clients. Kulang na lang gusto ilibre mo na services mo. Sa may kailangan ng CPD,accountants isa sa mababang pay rate.
Dahil lahat ng professionals na yan including business and government institution kailangan ang services ng isang accountant para maayos at maganda sa mata ang FS nila, kaya dapat updated tayo at makasabay sa mga accountant ng ibang bansa. Ang sakit lang sa bulsa lalo na nasa govt tayo, walang pondo.

Pwede na man makapagrenew kahit wala o kulang ang cpd units (2018 renewal, not sure for the subsequent years). Just comply your deficiency on the next renewal period. So kung wala kang cpd, 240 ka next renewal. Good luck na lang sa atin.
Usually nga yung mga tinuturo sa seminars, mababasa mo lang din sa internet. Mas marami pang natutunan sa actual field. More on tax updates lang naman ang worthwhile na pagseminaran. At napakamamahal ng mga seminars.

I think the 120 CPD units is in line with what other countries require. This is an attempt for Filipino CPAs to be globally competitive. The problem really is with the cost. Ginawa na kasing negosyo yan dito. 😂😂
High risk high return, great power comes with a great responsibility. Pag-CPA ka dapat alam mo ang nature at basics ng bawat profession na nakalista sa baba nitong posted pictures pati na din ang mga changes ng business process. Our profession is very dynamic. As technology level up so as we. Sa totoo lang agree ako sa mataas n required units. Sa audit kasi thats what you call “control”. I want to learn more. Learning is living. Einstein ones said, if you stop learning you start dying.

Kaakibat nito, maybe we could demand higher salary. Kasi masyadong unfair on our part na very challenging ang work natin. So sana ma free man lang ang seminars and trainings or mataas na salary binibigay sa atin. Which in all cases, kahit saang profession, is hindi nangyayari.
They thought we are earning that much para maafford yang cost ng 120cpd units…😒 taasan kaya nila rates ng CPAs sa private and govt. Karamihan nga sa services natin pro-bono 😞
