TOPIC: LGU hiring process and interview tips…

Question: Hello! I have an interview for a Supervising Admin Officer Position coming up this Monday. I am not expecting that much, if it is for me then it is for me. But I am curious since i have spent 9+ years working for private companies 3 of which are international based that have offices here in PH and I am not sure if which one is tough. Public or Private? Your thoughts on this please and also some piece of advice?

Wow thanks dami nag conrtibute ng answers. Grabe naman interview kanina may ganun? Sabay kami dalawa for panel. Hahaha! Next round daw sina LGU officials na and selection board something. I am not holding onto this for too much pero at least I tried. Inform ko kayo sa outcome.
See to it that all QS on that position you are applying had been met
The said position is mostly for promotion and the screening committee usually give preference to the insider. The LCE will choose among the top 5 recommendees of the screening comm with the recommendation of the head of office… But mostly the trust and confidence is one of the basis of the LCE in this kind of position.
Pinaka importante sa ganyan position is trust and confidence.. magpagkakatiwalaan.. kaya pag kilala ka personally ng appointing authority malaki na ang chance mo..

be sure yung position na ina apply mo eh walang naka pila from inside…
Usually, such positions are reserved, no matter how CSC prohibits such practice, to insiders or to appointing authority’s “bata”. You may be the most qualified among the candidates, but management’s discretion prevails.
For government positions, the appointing authority can select among the top 5 applicants recommended by the selection committee/board. If in case ikaw ang top 1 sa selection process, pwedeng hindi parin ikaw ang ma appoint. So better prepare yourself sa mga cases na ganito.
Kahit ikaw pinakamagaling at may pinaka magandang credentials sa lahat ng nag apply, if hindi ka pipiliin ng appointing authority, wala karin magagawa.
SG-22 yong ina-applyan mo, real talk lang is may malaki possibility na maraming insider mag apply niyan. Tapos LGU pa.
Hindi lang kasi credentials at potential basis diyan. Pati trust and confidence din.
Pero kung umangat ka naman talaga baka ma pusoan karin ng mayor.
As to private and government, for me mas mahirap government kasi maraming batas na kino consider. Wrong interpretation of laws/circulars/AOs means coa findings. Jowk 😂
