Hi po. I’d like to ask the group especially members working with LGUs, what would be the effect of the filing of candidacy by personnel under job order or contract of service status whether or not they are deemed resigned. Please cite also the legal basis. Thank you so much.

The Contract between the Agency and JO personnel is binding unless the Contract is terminated by the Agency. Usually, the Agency reserves the right to terminate the Contract for causes it deemed reasonable and necessary to terminate the same.
No employee-employer relationship. So okay lang magfile.

They r not considered govt employee.. They can run without resigning their job. Its up to the head of ahency if he will end the JO.
