Meron bang PERA increase ngayong 2026?

Ito ang tanong ng marami sa mga kawani ng gobyerno (marahil isa ka sa kanila): kung meron bang increase sa kasalukuyang ₱2,000.00 na monthly PERA ng government employees ngayong 2026.

Ang totoo, maraming mga panukala na itaas ito lalo na sa panahon ngayon na mas humihirap ng pamumuhay ng bawat Pilipino gawa ng epekto ng hindi magandang ekonomiya.

Ang mga panukalang ito ay naglalayun na itaas ang PERA mula ₱2,000.00 sa ₱3,000.00, ₱4,000.00, ₱5,000.00, ₱7,000.00 o ₱8,000.00.

Ang mga sumusunod ay ilan lamang sa mga panukala na naglalayun na itaas ang halaga ng PERA:

Senate Bills (PERA Increase)

Senate Bill No. 1553, 19th Congress – Sen. Manuel “Lito” M. Lapid — Increase PERA to ₱5,000. 

Senate Bill No. 2562, 19th Congress – Sen. Joseph Victor G. Ejercito — Increase PERA to ₱5,000. 

Senate Bill No. 1027, 19th Congress – Sen. Jinggoy E. Estrada — Increase PERA to ₱4,000. 

Senate Bill No. 1378, 19th Congress – Sen. Mark A. Villar — Increase PERA; includes adjustment mechanism (proposed ₱4,000). 

Senate Bill No. 60, 19th Congress – Sen. Francis G. Escudero — Increase and automatic adjustment mechanism (targeting approx. ₱4,000). 

Senate Bill No. 2673, 19th Congress – Sen. Raffy T. Tulfo — Increase and automatic adjustment. 

House of Representatives Bills (PERA Increase)

House Bill No. 3557, 19th Congress – Rep. Ralph G. Recto — Increase PERA to ₱3,000. 

House Bill No. 7622, 19th Congress – Rep. Anthony Rolando Jr. T. Golez — Increase PERA to ₱4,500. 

House Bill No. 8892, 19th Congress – Rep. Maria Rachel J. Arenas — Increase PERA to ₱6,000. 

House Bill No. 6537, 20th Congress (Dagdag PERA Act) – Rep. Raymond Demorito Mendoza (TUCP) — Increase PERA to ₱7,000 with annual review. 

House Bill No. 6674, 20th Congress – Rep. Celso G. Regencia — Increase PERA to ₱7,000

House Bill No. 3874, 20th Congress – Rep. Percival Cendaña et al. (AKBAYAN) — Increase PERA to ₱8,000. 

Gayunpaman, ang mga panukalang batas na ito ay nananatiling panukalang batas hanggang sa taong ito.

Meron bang PERA increase ngayong 2026?

Sa isang pagtitipon ng mga government accountants, budget officers at PFM practitioners noong 2024, nasabi ng Department of Budget and Management na pinagaaralan nito ang posibleng pagtaas ng kasalukuyang ₱2,000.00 na PERA to keep up with the rising inflation.

It bears noting that the rate of PERA has remained unchanged since CY 2009 following its institutionalization as part of the Total Compensation Framework under Congress JR No. 4.

In line with the review of the government’s salary and other benefits, the Department is studying the possible adjustment on the present rate of the PERA to keep up with the rising inflation.

Gayunpaman, katulad ng nakaraang taon, wala din PERA increase ngayong taong ito.

Ayun sa Section 63 ng General Provisions ng General Appropriations Act ng taong 2026, ang PERA ay nananatili sa ₱2,000.00 kada buwan.

Salary Increase sa 2026

Gayunman, kahit walang pagtaas sa PERA, meron naman pagtaas sa sahod ang mga sibilyan na kawani ng gobyerno at ang military at uniformed personnel (MUP) ngayong taong ito.

Ang mga civilian personnel ay tatanggap ng kanilang 3rd Tranche salary increase at ang MUPs naman ay tatanggap ng kanilang 1st tranche base pay adjustment ngayong taon.
