QNA: Are retirees this year still entitled to Year End Bonus?

If an employee retires from government service this year, is he/she still entitled to Year End Bonus? If yes, when will it be paid?
Answer:
Yes, a government employee who retires this year will still receive a pro-rated year-end bonus if she rendered at least four months of service from January 1 to October 31 of the current year.
The year end bonus is granted in the month of retirement, pursuant to Budget Circular No. 2016-4.
